URBAN COMBAT TRAINING - STRUCTURAL

Scope: Construction of various buildingsfor NAVFAC including the structural formation of the footings, slab, grouting of roof and walls, CMU block installation for the UN Building (6,000 sqft.), Hotel (4,700 sqft.), bank (1,300 sqft.), and Warehouse (10,150 sqft.).  Structural components involve the fabrication and installation of over 110 tons of rebar and several thousand square feet of formwork and concrete pouring.

WESTIN RENOVATIONS

Scope:  Complete renovation of luxury hotel rooms for one of Guam's premier hotels.  Westin Resort Guam requires strict attention to detail and the highest quality finish.  Renovation includes demolition of existing interior and replacement with new flooring, painting, wall-paper, electrical fixtures, and bathroom fixtures.  The project encompasses 14 floors with approximately 420 rooms.  Production schedule tailored to opening and closing of rooms to minimize disruption to hotel guests - accelerating to meed the needs of the custoer while ensuring the highest quality deliverable.

SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT

Scope:  

PFM along with the Guam Plant Extinction Prevention Program (GPEPP) conducted salvage and transplantation of endangered Cycas micronesica. The objective of the project is to provide preservation of the prehistoric native cycad species and a successful translocation to a safer environment to increase their chances of survival. A thorough field assessment and inspection was conducted. PFM salvaged over 1,400~ cycad pups, and collected over 1,200~ seeds. All are being propagated and maintained at a Government-approved nursery. In addition, PFM salvaged 27 fully grown cycad trees to a Forest Enhancement Site (FES).

FUEL TRUCK OFFLOAD FACILITY, AAFB

Scope:  Demolition, removal, and disposal of existing asphalt and concrete pavement along with full depth saw cutting of existing pavement, concrete guard shack, and foundation.  Also responsible for communication structure, 24" RCP storm lines, 6" RCP sanitary Iines, abandoned pipes, catch basins, concrete headwalls, storm inlets, and sanitary sewer manhole.  Project includes maintaining and protecting trees.

REPLACE WATERLINE

AT AAFB

Scope:  PFM provided all labor, materials, and equipment to replace and over 5,000 linear feet of new water line pipes. The work included excavation of trenchlines, saw cut of existing asphalt, replacement of new fire hydrants, installation of gate valves, backfill and restoration. PFM provided manpower and equipment to complete the work simultaneously, having separate locations of each waterline access. Coordination was also done to ensure all 19 buildings and their occupants were notified accordingly to lessen any disturbance on ongoing operations.

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE & TREE TRIMMING SERVICES

Scope:  NAVFAC grounds maintenance and tree trimming services for all military establishments throughout the Marianas Islands - including landscape installation, mowing, tree, shrub and hedge maintenance, grass seeding and more.  The 5-year contract covers over 5,000 acres on a firm fixed basis with new task orders issued each year.
